What school are you going to and what’s your major?
I am currently attending Cal State Monterey Bay and I am in my sophomore year. I am majoring in Communications.
How has soccer in general impacted your student career?
Soccer has made a major impact on my student career. It’s had the impact of showing me how to cope with certain situations like my time management. When playing at the top level school is always going to come first because that is what college is going to look at so when I knew I had practice or was going on trips I was sure of finishing my school work before hand.
How much of this impact do you associate with your time at Juventus?
My time at Juventus has helped me very much. The coaches and staff would always tell us that school was very important and if there were students that didn’t maintain the gpa required, Juventus would help out and get us tutoring sessions. They did not want us to fail so they would help us academically as well as in our soccer skills. I remember having tutoring sessions before training with some of my teammates and that helped a lot of us.
With three words, how would you describe your experience with the club?
Encouraging, Disciplined and Educational.
Finally, What are the next steps for you?
My next steps are to graduate college and continue my soccer career on the way and play at the highest level. If it wasn’t for this club I would not be where I am today, they have showed me a lot and have been there for me not only because I was a player for the club but because they truly cared.
